Nostalgic. Over-thinker. Emotional.
3 traits which I am commonly accused of.
3 traits which I openly admit to.
3 traits which I leverage through the fusion of photography & writing.
I’ve also been described as having a nose shaped like underwear, directionally-challenged & a gifted high-soprano…I may have made the last one up…but we’ll save those for another day.
I’m an Australian-born Indian, however I would say my family is not as traditional as most …that being said, we salivate upon the sight of hot chapati’s & subconsciously do the ‘screw the light bulb’ bollywood dance move on the d-floor…
Moving on…..the inspiration of ‘Next to Nix’ lies in questioning the perpetuating belief that photography & writing are mutually exclusive. Who needs words when a picture is worth a thousand? I disagree.
I argue that my random musings & thoughts can complement my photos by adding personal insight, context and perspective. I do not intend to dictate or control the viewing of my images. Photography inspires me to write therefore ‘Next to Nix’ provides a space that allows for self-expression and personal dialogue.
I warn you that some stories won’t be remotely funny (even though I’m trying to be) nor do I promise they will be as saucy as one of mama sheth’s curries…. But what I can offer you is a mixed (hessian) bag of rambling, ranting & raving on the people, places, food & random objects that exist in my world…

Hi Kaityln!
Thank you for your comment! I actually used Bueno theme by wordpress and then got the CSS upgrade, so I could tweak a few things. Have you got a blog?
